Andrew Holmes was born in 1959 in Kent, England, and studied art and design in Cornwall from 1976 to 1980, gaining a distinction in graphic design and then graduating with a degree in illustration.
He went on to build a career in London in design and illustration with broad experience as both a graphic artist and an illustrator. During this time he has contributed to projects in advertising, design, tv & film, architecture and digital media in the UK and internationally, as well as undertaking private and corporate commissions of original work.
Since returning to fine painting in 2008, Andrew exhibited in 2009 and 2010 at the Mall Galleries’ Annual Shows with the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, The New English Art Club and The National Open Art competition held in Chichester. Andrew is currently exhibiting work with selected galleries throughout the UK
